Our Process
What a proper fence paint job looks like
01
Assess & Clean
We inspect timber for rot and steel for rust, then pressure clean so paint sticks to a sound, dust-free surface.
02
Repair & Prep
Loose boards are fixed, timber is sanded, rust is treated, and the surface is spot primed where needed.
03
Coat
Premium exterior paint or stain is applied in even coats, by brush, roller, or spray as the job requires.
04
Protect & Finish
Timber gets a sealing topcoat and everything is gone over twice, with no overspray and full clean-up.

Fence Painting Questions
Answers to common fence painting questions
Should my timber fence be painted or stained?
It depends on the look you want. Paint gives full, even colour coverage and is great for a uniform look, while stain lets the natural timber grain show through and keeps the wood's character. Both protect the timber. We'll talk through how you want your fence to look, how much maintenance you're comfortable with, and recommend the best coating for your timber and site.
Can you paint a Colorbond or steel fence?
Yes. Steel and Colorbond fences can be repainted, but the metal needs proper preparation first. We treat any rust, lightly abrade the surface, and apply a metal primer before the topcoat. Done properly, a repainted steel fence looks great and stays protected against Geelong's coastal conditions for years.
Do you clean the fence before painting, and is that extra?
Proper prep is always included, not an optional extra. We pressure clean to remove dirt, mould, and salt, treat rust or rot, sand where needed, and spot-prime before any topcoat. Skipping that step is how paint peels within a year, so we never cut it. Your quote covers the full job, prep included, with no hidden extras.
